CAPS Universal was established in 1961 to provide entertainment payroll services to the major studios, independent film and television production companies, special music tour and live event producers, and TV commercial production companies . It is currently the largest payer of "atmosphere" payroll outside of California and one of the primary payroll processing resources within the State.
